What the engineer records
- On an inspection, each test point is named on site with its deposit reading and photos.
- The inspection outcome is worked out from the readings and the visual check, the way TR19 Air sets out - never picked from a list.
- On a clean, the engineer records how it is verified: checked by eye, or by lab sample for the office to enter the lab's result.
- Open the job before you lose signal in the plant room.
Set up once for each system
- Each system's cleanliness class - Low, Medium or High - and its air service: supply, extract or recirculation.
- The app suggests the minimum number of test points from the system's length and its air handling units.
- Inspections and cleans booked on the same planner as your grease and damper work.
Lab results without the chasing
- When a clean is verified by lab sample, the office records each result as it arrives.
- The lab's certificate is attached to the report.
- Send waits until the results are in, so a report never goes out half-finished.
The report and certificate
- Office review, send back to the engineer, then send to the client: the locked verification report and certificate in your firm's branding.
- What was emailed is what is stored. Corrections re-issue as Rev B, with the original kept.
- A draft invoice in your own Xero from the sent job.
What TR19 Air asks
- Every system has a cleanliness class - Low, Medium or High - set by the specifier or duty holder; Medium where none is set (TR19 Air, Version 2, March 2026, 1.20 and 2.3).
- After a clean, the visual check comes first. Measured verification uses the vacuum test, with an acceptable level under 0.3 g/m² for every class and service (8.11 and 8.13).
- At least three test points on a system up to 250 m, more as it gets longer, plus one for each air handling unit (8.7).
- The verification report goes to the client within 30 days of the last cleaning visit (8.16).

Is TR19 Air available now?
Yes. Book a call and we set TR19 Air up for your firm. Online sign-up for Air opens soon; TR19 Grease and fire damper testing can be started online today.
Does every clean need lab results?
No. TR19 Air puts the visual check first, and measured testing depends on the system's class and what the client agrees. The app records a clean checked by eye or one verified by lab sample - High-class systems always go to the lab - and when samples were taken, Send waits for the results.
Can we use it for grease and fire dampers too?
Yes, it is one app. Any two report types are £150 a month and all three are £200.
How much is it?
£90 a month for TR19 Air on its own. Every engineer and office user included, no setup fee, no minimum term and no VAT charged.
Does the app make our work conform to TR19 Air?
No. SMART Reports records the work and sends the paperwork. Whether the work conforms depends on the work itself and on the firm's trade-body membership.
